A popular sandwich shop in Eagle, which once called 8th St. in downtown Boise home, is closing its doors after five years.
Tasso first opened its doors at 410 8th St. in BoDo in 2018, as BoiseDev reported. The restaurant closed its downtown location in 2020 during the pandemic and moved to 342 E. State St. in downtown Eagle in May of 2021.
The locally-owned deli is known for creative sandwich concoctions. Its menu features sandwiches ranging from ham with manchego to smoked steelhead with cream cheese. Salads, chili, soups, and ice cream round out the offerings.
Owner Dan Carruthers announced the shop’s closure via social media.
“Thank you to everyone who came in for a sandwich, brought a friend, and made this little place part of your routine. We’ve loved feeding you and getting to know you all,” Carruthers said in the post. “Come see us this week for one more sandwich. We’re excited about what’s ahead.”
BoiseDev reached out to Carruthers but did not hear back as of the deadline.
Tasso’s last day of operation will be Sunday, October 25.
