The KBOI “New” Guy

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to you. I'm Rick Worthington, the "New" News Director for 670 KBOI. I am replacing the "Iron Hourse" Ken Weaver, who is on his way to a bigger market after holding up the newsroom for 15 years! Ken would be welcome in any newsroom in America, and Boise is lucky to have had such a great guy for all those years.

Simply put, I am a news and sports information junkie. Joining 670 KBOI is a perfect fit, and I am so happy to join the crew here. You will be able to hear me anchor the news from 5 – 10:30am Monday thru Friday.

News is nothing new to me, as I served Cumulus as News Director in Reno at KKOH for several years. I also spent a couple years in Sacramento as a reporter and anchor with one of the Legendary heritage News stations in our country, KFBK.

Now that my resume is out of the way, I can also tell you I love to fly fish. Idaho has so many great places to fish, I don't know where to start this spring.
