Freeform has designed and delivered commercial workplaces for decades and is one of the state’s fastest-growing companies for the second time.
Mark and Betty Heath founded the company in 1985 in an old Firestone tire shop in downtown Boise. The business has remained in the family and is now run by their son, Jeff Heath, from its current location at Capitol Boulevard and Grove Street.
Freeform prides itself on creating commercial interiors employees love, from architecture and acoustics to furniture.
“We do healthcare environments, hospitals, universities, classrooms, and common spaces. We do libraries. We do corporate spaces,” Heath said.
Heath says Freeform has grown alongside Boise, while also expanding into new markets like Spokane and the Tri-Cities.
“Someone gave me advice a while back when I was growing that everything will take three times as long as you think and cost twice as much as you think, and that’s definitely true,” Heath said. “There’s pain that is incurred with any sort of growth… but we’re finally starting to see some of those fruits of that labor, and so that’s extremely rewarding to see some of those outcomes.”
