That proposed restaurant by Scheel’s in Meridian will indeed be a second location for Crave Kitchen & Bar.
BoiseDev first reported last week that MorHood, LLC had asked the City of Meridian to consider a new 8,539-square-foot restaurant and bar right across the street from Scheel’s in the Ten Mile Crossing development. But plans didn’t explicitly say it would be a second Crave, and attempts to reach ownership were not successful.
After the initial story, MorHood’s Tara Morandi reached out with additional detail.
“We’ve been incredibly fortunate to have such wonderful support from our community since opening our doors in 2020,” Crave Managing Partner Derek Hood said in a news release. “Our guests have truly made Crave what it is today, and we’re thrilled for the opportunity to bring that same experience to Meridian. We’re looking forward to building new relationships, welcoming new guests, and becoming part of this vibrant and growing community.”
The new Crave is slated to open next fall. As BoiseDev reported, it will include a layout similar to the Eagle restaurant, with a large bar, a dedicated dining room, and a separate private dining area. It will also feature an enclosed patio.

The news release said the restaurant will add about 100 jobs. The restaurant will build on the Eagle Crave location’s menu and add “new items developed specifically for the second location.”
“Opening in Meridian gives us an opportunity to introduce some new ideas and menu offerings while staying true to what makes Crave special,” Hood said. “Whether guests are joining us for a casual dinner, drinks with friends, or a special celebration, we want them to know they can always expect great food, genuine hospitality, and an experience that makes them want to come back.”
Crave first opened in 2020 in the Bridges at Lakemor development.
The Crave Kitchen and Bar concept is not related to Crave Delivery, which formerly operated out of a building just a few hundred feet away at Ten Mile. Crave Delivery no longer operates in the Treasure Valley.
