Re: Today’s Supreme Court Decision (Little v. Hecox // Idaho’s Fairness In Women’s Sports Act and State of West Virginia v. B.P.J.)
Rep. Barbara Ehardt (District 33A) .

The war for women in sports has finally been addressed!
Over 6 years ago, I could see that this issue would quickly become a defining issue for our country and our generation. I determined at that time that I had the experience and the will to fight it.
Since then, I have led the legislative fight to protect women in sports and uphold Title IX in statehouse committees and on the House Floor. I carried this legislative battle to more than half of the states in our union, and we won those battles as well. Alongside American heroes like Riley Gaines, I led the battles in the culture war that cropped up everywhere, even here in our own conservative state. And when powerful and well-funded leftist law firms began the legal battle against women in sports here in Idaho’s courts, I was there again to help fight the battle to defend women.
They waged this war against women, but we fought back, and won by fighting and winning one battle at a time:
First, the legislative battle by passing women in sports laws in Idaho and around the country.
Second, the cultural battle, in which they tried to call us crazy for not wanting men in our women’s sports team locker rooms and stealing our women’s victory pedestals. This battle was decisively won when it became one of the main issues that led The People to re-elect President Trump in 2024.
And finally, the legal battle, where they tried to override the will of The People in the court system. Today, the Supreme Court declared our victory in this battle as well.
Women were told we didn’t matter. I said we DO matter. Today, we have finally, definitively won this war for women in sports on all fronts. Let’s celebrate and take our victory pedestal together, Idaho!
State Rep. Barbara Ehardt, Idaho (District 33A)
