NEWS RELEASE: Nampa Water Utility Files Application With Commission Seeking Rate Increase
BOISE (July 8, 2026) – Southshore 2 Water Company, LLC has filed an application with the Idaho Public Utilities Commission seeking approval to raise the flat monthly rate it charges customers to provide service. The utility said the requested rate increase is necessary to recover current costs for operations, maintenance, administration, customer accounting and other costs.
Southshore 2 Water owns and operates a water system in Nampa and serves 15 residential customers in the Southshore Subdivision No. 2. The utility is requesting Commission approval to charge a flat monthly rate of $195.00 per customer. It currently charges a flat rate of $95.00 per month.
The Commission previously granted the company a certificate of public convenience and necessity (CPCN). The CPCN allows Southshore 2 Water to operate as a public utility in Idaho.
