CELEBRATE AMERICA 250 AT BOISE’S SPECIAL FOURTH OF JULY EVENT WITH LIVE MUSIC, A DRONE SHOW AND FIREWORKS
BOISE – The City of Boise invites residents and visitors to gather at Ann Morrison Park on Saturday, July 4, 2026, for a special edition of the city’s annual Independence Day celebration as we commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States of America.
As part of Boise’s America 250 Fourth of July celebration, this year’s event will feature a free patriotic performance by the Boise Philharmonic, the city’s Cultural Ambassador, a drone show and the city’s beloved fireworks display, creating an unforgettable evening honoring 250 years of American history and celebrating America’s future.
Festivities begin at 6 p.m. at Ann Morrison Park with food and beverage vendors, family-friendly activities and the park’s interactive fountain illuminated in red, white and blue. Boise Phil musicians will take the stage at 9 p.m., followed by a patriotic drone light show at approximately 10:15 p.m. The evening concludes with Boise’s signature fireworks celebration at approximately 10:35 p.m., synchronized to music broadcast on 107.1 Hank FM.
“This is a special annual event, and because we’re celebrating America 250 it’ll be even more memorable this year,” said Mayor Lauren McLean. “I invite you to bring a blanket and some chairs and enjoy the holiday safely while celebrating with friends, neighbors and fellow community members in the heart of our city.”
Food and drink vendors will be on site throughout the evening, offering a variety of local favorites, international cuisine and summertime treats. Beer and wine will be available for purchase for guests 21 and older with valid identification in two beer gardens. Visitors are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and picnic supplies and enjoy an evening in one of Boise’s most beloved parks.

Event attendees are encouraged to walk, bike, use ride-share services or utilize downtown parking options. Outside food and beverages are welcome; however, glass containers are prohibited.
Accessible parking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for individuals with accessibility placards. Additional information about parking, road closures and an interactive event map is available on the City of Boise’s Fourth of July webpage.
Please note, road closures will be in effect around Ann Morrison Park, including portions of Americana Boulevard (where there is ongoing roadwork) and Crescent Rim Drive. Following the event, officers from the Boise Police Department will assist with traffic control and pedestrian safety as attendees leave the park.
After the fireworks show, Americana Boulevard will be closed for approximately 45 minutes to allow pedestrians to exit the park. It can be helpful to bring a flashlight to help you see your way out of the park. Boise Police officers will assist pedestrians and will also staff closures to make sure everyone gets home safely.
Floating the River on Independence Day
Those planning to float the Boise River on the Fourth of July should make transportation plans in advance, as vehicle access to Ann Morrison Park will be restricted all day. Float the Boise shuttle service will operate until 7 p.m., but parking will not be available in the park. Floaters are encouraged to park at Barber Park and use shuttle services.
Other Impacted Areas in Ann Morrison Park
Together Treasure Valley Dog Island will be closed all day on July 4. This is where the drones will be set up for launch later in the evening. Additionally, the disc golf course located in Ann Morrison Park will be closed on the holiday due to the large number of people expected to attend, as well as for safe set up of the fireworks show.
The City of Boise looks forward to celebrating Independence Day and America 250 with the community on Saturday, July 4, 2026. Thank you for being safe, courteous and good neighbors while we celebrate this holiday together.
