There’s something special about Meridian in the summer. It’s a time for families to gather and enjoy events that reminds us of the traditions that helped shape our community. One of the most anticipated community events in Meridian is the return of Dairy Days.
Since 1929, the Meridian Dairy Board has celebrated Meridian’s deep agricultural roots with an event that honors the generations of dairy farmers who helped build the city we know today. While Meridian has grown into the premier destination city, events like Dairy Days keep us connected to where we come from with the values of hard work, community, and pride in our local heritage that is shared by the generations of dairy farmers who made Meridian their home.
The theme for this year’s celebration is Red, White & Moo! While some events begin today, the real action will take place from June 25-27 and will once again fill Storey Park, the Meridian Speedway, and downtown Meridian with activities for all ages. The carnival, vendor booths, and live music start on Thursday and run through Saturday. Other events include:
- Ice Cream Social – 5:00 p.m., Thursday, June 25, 2026
- Pancake Breakfast – 7:00 a.m.- 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 26, 2026

For a more detailed and complete list of activities, including all the musicians set to perform, visit the Dairy Days website.
Dairy Days would not be complete without the Real Dairy Parade as one of the most anticipated events of the weekend, bringing together local organizations, schools, and businesses as a celebration of community pride. The parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, starting at the Watertower and working its way down Main Street. You can find information about the parade route by going to the Dairy Days website.
Dairy Days makes Meridian unique and is a reflection of who we are as a city and the traditions we share as neighbors and friends. Whether you are new to our community or you’re a fifth-generation Meridian family, it’s a great time to celebrate the people and industries that built Meridian, and I encourage everyone to come out, bring your family, and take part in this tradition. I look forward to seeing you there!
