Meridian Celebrates Independence Day with Biggest-Ever Fireworks Display
MERIDIAN, ID – The City of Meridian invites the community to gather for its Independence Day celebration on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Storey Park. This year’s festivities carry extra significance as the nation marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
The free, family-friendly event kicks off at 4:00 p.m. and will feature the biggest fireworks display the city has hosted, scheduled for 10:20 p.m.
Event Highlights & Schedule
4:00 p.m. – Food Trucks Arrive: The city has partnered with Kanak Attack, Coned, Daisy’s Gelati, Kettle Corn, World’s Best Corndogs, and SoMe Acai to provide a variety of food to choose from.
5:00 p.m. – Live Music: Deb Michels Gang plays blues rock music.
8:00 p.m. – Live Music: EpicUnion plays dance hits.
10:20 p.m. – Fireworks Display: A grand fireworks display will be launched from the east side of Meridian Speedway. The show is expected to last 20 minutes.
To help everyone have a safe and enjoyable time, here are a few things to know before you go:
What to Bring: Attendees are highly encouraged to bring their own blankets, lawn chairs, water, and sunscreen.
Parking & ADA Access: Parking within Storey Park is strictly reserved for ADA parking only. A designated passenger drop-off zone will be accessible off Franklin Road. General parking is available in the surrounding public areas.
Limited Road Access Within Park: Certain roads in the park will be closed to accommodate the fireworks safety zone and food trucks.
Safety Stations: A dedicated First Aid station and Lost Children tent will be operational next to the Meridian Chamber of Commerce building.
Restricted Items: Personal fireworks and glass containers are not permitted in the park.
Courtesy Reminder: The City would like to remind attendees to be respectful of local businesses and homeowners by not leaving trash or blocking driveways.
