Boise State football is back, and the Boise Police Department (BPD) is reminding fans to plan ahead for a safe and fun game day experience. Whether you’re cheering from inside Albertsons Stadium or celebrating nearby, please keep these guidelines in mind:
- Plan a Safe Ride: If you plan to drink, don’t drive. Use a designated driver, ride-share service, taxi, or the free Game Day Shuttle.
- Alcohol Rules: The 10 to 10 Zone allows alcohol consumption for those 21 and older from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on home game days. Alcohol outside this zone—including parking lots and neighborhood streets—is not permitted. Officers will also be monitoring for underage drinking and alcohol being provided to minors.
- Respect Neighbors and Businesses: Please be courteous. Use crosswalks, keep noise down, and dispose of trash properly.
- Parking: Park legally and follow all posted signs. Vehicles parked too close to fire hydrants, stop signs, crosswalks, or driveways are subject to ticketing or towing. Neighborhood parking is very limited. Fans are encouraged to use garages, downtown parking, and the free shuttle to the stadium.
- Stadium Entry: To speed up security lines, remember that Boise State enforces a clear bag policy. Leave large bags at home when possible. Entry 1 into the stadium is closed this year due to construction. To keep things moving smoothly, please plan to arrive early and allow extra time for entry screening.
10 to 10 Zone Boundaries
The 10 to 10 Zone stretches from Broadway Avenue and Myrtle Street, south on Broadway to Beacon, west on Beacon to Oakland, north on Oakland to Potter, west on Potter to Joyce, north on Joyce to University, west on University to Capitol Boulevard, north on Capitol, east on Cesar Chavez Lane, crossing the Friendship Bridge to Julia Davis Park, then east of Zoo Boise to Broadway and south of the pond.
Important Reminder: Alcohol must be in opaque plastic cups. No glass, cans, or labeled bottles are allowed. The boundaries are strictly enforced.
Parking in City Parks
Parking is available for free on a first-come, first-served basis in Julia Davis Park, Ann Morrison Park, Kristin Armstrong Municipal Park, and Idaho Fallen Firefighters Memorial Park during home games. Please note, there is limited parking in Julia Davis Park and Ann Morrison Park on Friday, September 5 due to special events happening all weekend at both parks. Please plan ahead.
- Vehicles must be in designated spaces—cars on yellow curbs will be towed.
- Free parking in city parks is valid until 9 a.m. the following morning after each home game.
- Towing will not begin until 9 a.m., regardless of kickoff time.
- Glass containers are prohibited in all city parks.
- Alcohol is only allowed in Julia Davis Park within the 10 to 10 Zone. Other park areas may require reservations or permits for alcohol.
