Fuelwood permits now available for online purchase
Boise, Idaho, Aug. 6, 2025 — Fuelwood permits for the Boise National Forest are now available for purchase through a new online E-Permit system. Permits may be purchased by computer or mobile device any time, eliminating travel to your local Forest Service office.
This new service provides flexibility and convenience to our forest users. To purchase a fuelwood permit or to learn more about permits and gathering fuelwood online at the Boise National Forest’s Forest Products webpage. Traditional fuelwood permits will still be available to purchase at local Forest Service offices, or participating vendors.
The Forest Service will continue to refine and improve the quality of the online permit system and add additional special forest product permits in the future.
