Eagle island state park is undergoing the most sweeping changes in its history.
Craig Quintana, the Public Information Officer for Idaho Department of Parks and Rec says “We’ve haven’t seen a building boom like this since the 80’s…when the park was first established”.
KIVI-TV reports, the waterslide which was shut down last year, will be torn down…and Quintana says the public will be consulted on what should happen with the hill.
A good portion of the 550 acre park is under construction for 50 RV Camping sites complete with municipal water and sewer…and a brand new pond is being dug as well.
There’s no time frame for when work will fully be completed on Eagle Island State Park.
