The defense called expert Forensic Pathologist Dr. Katherine Raven to testify in the triple murder trial of Chad Daybell.
Dr. Raven was brought in by Daybell’s attorney, John Prior, to review the autopsy and paperwork associated with the death of Tammy Daybell.
CBS2 reports that after reviewing the autopsy report Dr. Raven summarized her findings, including bruises that were discovered on Tammy’s body.
Dr. Raven testified that there was no anatomical cause of death or natural causes like heart disease or kidney failure.
Dr. Raven also reviewed the toxicology report that was done with the autopsy, saying that it was a very extensive toxicology report.
After reviewing the autopsy, Dr. Raven says that she believes that the appropriate classification for Tammy Daybell’s death should be “undetermined.”
Dr. Raven said there is no sign or indication for the cause of her death, though she did concede that asphyxia would be difficult to determine by autopsy.
