Don’t leave valuables in your vehicle

Three juveniles were arrested on multiple charges after some nighttime auto burglaries were reported in Nampa.

Late Monday night, the Nampa Police Department dispatch received a call reporting three males breaking into cars in a subdivision near Smith Ave. and N. Summer Breeze St.

When officers arrived, they found numerous vehicles and mailboxes had been entered and they found several items scattered in yards.

Officers also located three male juveniles on foot who admitted to the burglaries.

Officers located multiple stolen items, contraband, and a firearm.

All three juveniles were booked into the Canyon County Juvenile Detention Center for auto burglary, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia, minor in possession and curfew.

More charges may be pending as the investigation is ongoing.

Nampa PD is reminding the community to make sure valuables are removed from vehicles, that vehicles are locked; and mail is not left in mailboxes for any amount of time.
