Hailey updates public health order

The mountain town of Hailey has updated its public health order as it relates to Idaho rolling back to Stage 2.

The city of Hailey says its order is “more restrictive than the State’s in some matters, and less restrictive in others.”

CBS2 reports that after a vote, the city council decided to continue with its face-covering policy that requires masks any time a person enters a public indoor space and in outdoor spaces when physical distancing cannot be maintained.

Here’s a summary of the updated order, which went into effect on Tuesday.

Face masks or face shields must be worn by all people occupying public space with another person, subject to limited exceptions.
Hand washing/sanitizing must be available and used at entrances to each business.
A minimum of 6-feet must be maintained between people/parties within the same room.
Indoor group sizes both public and private may not exceed 10 people (except within businesses or places of worship).
Outdoor group sizes both public and private may not exceed 10 people, unless one of the exemptions within the State Order applies.
All businesses are required to post signage at each entrance in English and Spanish, which states that face coverings and handwashing/sanitization are required to enter and 6-foot distancing must be maintained within each business. There are no exceptions to the signage requirement.
Businesses are prohibited from serving non-exempt customers who do not comply with face coverings and distancing regulations, with penalties that could lead to a business being closed after continued service to non-exempt customers without face-coverings.
