Mask mandate tabled indefinitely by Twin Falls City Council

Hundreds of people arrived at Twin Falls City Hall on Monday evening as the city council considered a mask mandate to help combat COVID-19.

St. Luke’s in the Magic Valley is at capacity, and because of the health crisis in Utah, it’s unable to send patients to its sister hospital in Salt Lake City.

Even still, being required to wear a mask is controversial.

Most people at the meeting weren’t wearing masks, although there were a few in the crowd who were.

After several hours of testimony, the council opted to table the mask mandate discussion indefinitely in a six to one vote.
