Nampa Amazon Plant Looks To Hire 2000 New Employees

2,000 new workers are needed by a company in the Treasure Valley.

That’s the number of workers Amazon says it plans to hire now, double the 1,000 previously announced.

Amazon hosted a media tour of it’s new four-story warehouse at Franklin and Star roads earlier this week and confirmed the number of employees they say they will need to hire to get the facility up and running.

The Idaho Statesman reports, Amazon said hiring would take place soon, a couple of months before the fulfillment center — the first in Idaho — opens. Workers will be paid at least $15 an hour with health insurance, up to 20 weeks of maternal and parental paid leave, and other benefits.
