Woodhead Fire nearing 50% Containment

A large fire in western Idaho is almost 50 percent contained as of Wednesday.

The Woodhead Fire near Cambridge has now burned more than 95,000 acres.

Cooler temperatures and a chance of rain will hopefully give firefighters the advantage.

The fire started on Sept. 7, but officials still don’t know what caused it. Evacuations are still in place for Ditch Creek, Wildhorse, and Crooked River.
