The pilot of a Single Engine Air Tanker was killed after a crash Tuesday while working on the Schill Fire near Emmett.
Not much is yet known about what may have caused the crash. The Bureau of Land Management plans to release more information once family is notified.
As for the 25-acre fire, it is burning about two miles southeast of Emmett near Pearl Road.
Fire officials say the fire itself was contained last night, and should be controlled by this evening.
