Fish and Game Asking for Your Help Finding Poacher or Poachers

Nampa (670 KBOI News) – Idaho Fish and Game is asking for your help finding whoever was responsible for the poaching of two mule deer earlier this week, north of Emmett.

Spokesman Evin Oneale with the Fish and Game Southwest District says a landowner noticed some suspicious vehicle activity near his property early Monday morning, and later, he found the deer.

He says the animals were part of a herd that has been struggling to recover from the winter of 2017, and the loss of two bucks is going to be hard on the herd.

“If everyone plays by the rules, management is easier,” said Oneale.  “When we have folks who decide to go out and poach animals with a spotlight, that makes our job that much harder.”

Oneale says if you have any information that might help them find the culprits, you can either call the Citizens Against Poaching Hotline, at 1 (800) 632-5999, or Fish and Game at (208) 465-8465.
