Debate Recap

“So, who won?”

By far the #1 question I’ve been asked since April 14th after our GOP Gubernatorial and Congressional debate.

We won. The audience and all those who submitted questions won. Civility won.

(this answer is usually followed by an unfulfilling eye roll)

“So who lost?”

*IMMEDIATELY A TINY DEVIL POPS UP ON MY SHOULDER*

I think the Gubernatorial candidates all held their ground. As for the Congressional candidates, well, some did better than others.

*IMMEDIATELY THE DEVIL STARTS POKING ME*

“Like who?”

Listen and watch for yourself.

*IMMEDIATELY THE DEVIL STARTS TO DO SOMETHING AS I SMACK HIM*

(again, this answer is usually followed by an unfulfilling eye roll)

Here’s what you need to understand folks. I have never endorsed. KBOI does not endorse. The purpose of a debate is so you can hear all of the candidates answer the same question and compare and contrast which answers you like best. We did our part. We corralled 8 candidates on one stage and forced them to answer your questions on-air live!

Now to the candidates,

I overheard some of you complaining about the questions. Understand this very simple point. What matters most to you, may not matter most to the audience. You are the public servant. We are the boss. If I ever hear any of you complain about the questions you’re facing in your job application again, I’ll be more than happy to remind you of that fact.

Worthington BLOG: From Patriot to Punchline

From Patriot to Punchline By Rick Worthington 9/3/20 Have you ever tried to do something good, but went about doing it the wrong way? I think, that is what we saw from Ammon Bundy during the Special Session in Idaho. I fear those actions have tainted the man’s reputation as a freedom fighter to what…

Worthington BLOG: Racism is more common than you think

Racism is more common than you think 6/4/20   By: Rick Worthington I guess this is as good a time as any to admit, the #BLM rallies in Idaho and the rioting in other areas has me thinking more about racism than I have in years. Let us speak honestly. Racism exists, and it is…

Worthington BLOG: Don’t Judge Me For Opening My Business Early 5/13/20 By Rick Worthington I’m not one to rebel or clash against the government. I believe in the rule of law, and abide by the law as best I can…for the most part. Yes, I’ve had a speeding ticket in my lifetime. I mean, I’ve…
