Third District Judge Juneal Kerrick will retire Friday after nearly 36 years of work at the Canyon County Courthouse.
Kerrick will continue to serve part time as a senior judge in the 3rd District. She will also work for the Idaho Supreme Court on judicial education, training and leadership assignments.
Earlier this month, the Idaho Women Lawyers recognized Kerrick’s contributions to the legal profession and the mentoring of young lawyers with their “Setting the Bar” award.
The Idaho Judicial Council conducted interviews in February with candidates to succeed Kerrick. The names of four attorneys were submitted to Gov. Butch Otter for consideration.
