A large brush fire burning east of Table Rock has destroyed two structures was threatening several homes early Thursday morning.

Boise Fire and the BLM says of those two structures, one is confirmed to be a home.

The fire now is estimated to be 1470 acres, but that could change depending on aerial fire mapping set for later today.

Roads are closed in the area and drivers should completely avoid the area if possible.

There are no mandatory evacuations.

Firefighters have started to gain the upper hand on the fire thanks to promising conditions, including higher humidity and light winds.  Air support was also called in at 7am, and started dropping water on the blaze a short time later.

Boise Fire, The Bureau of Land Management, Eagle Fire, Meridian Fire, and Star Fire Departments are all on scene.
