As I type this blog, more details are emerging on what appears to be another cop shooting.

An officer was sitting in his car when someone came up on him and opened fire through his window.

Police are calling this an “attempted assassination”.

Police reported a gun being stolen in October 2013.

The gun used in the attack was the same one that was reported stolen.

District Attorney Seth Williams says “I’m very thankful the officer is alive. This shows us the need for smarter laws when it relates to guns on the street.”

Stealing has been against the law for over 200 years.

Accepting stolen property is illegal.

Attempted murder is illegal.

What “smarter law” would have prevented this? Again, this is evil. Bad people who don’t care about laws.
