670 KBOI’s Paul J and Chris will be hosting the Back The Blue event Thursday morning.
People are encouraged to stop by and sign a Thank You card for Boise Police between 5AM and 10 AM at the Jacksons Food Store on State and 31st Streets.
Lt. Andy Johnson says he appreciates this event, especially because he goes to work everyday knowing that he could be killed. Johnson says he makes sure to kiss his family every morning before he goes to work. Johnson says he also appreciates the Back the Blue rally being thrown on Thursday, “sometimes I don’t know exactly how to respond because for me it’s an honor and a privilege to actually serve. So, when people recognize that sometimes it’s overwhelming.”
Boise Mayor Dave Beiter, Chief Bill Bones, and other officers will be at the event as well.
