FBI Involved In Idaho Death Investigation, Family Says Dauber May Have Been Involved

The family of an Idaho City man who died from a drug overdose in 2011, is questioning his death now.

David Fishback died from a heroin overdose, after years of struggling with alcohol and drugs, but now his family believes his good friend Michael Dauber may have been involved in the death.

A witness told the responding police officer when Fishback passed away that a man had told them someone wasn’t breathing. When they went to check it out, they found Fishback dead. The man who spoke with them had run off and they never saw him again.

Dauber is facing murder charges now, for allegedly killing and dismembering two men, Steven Kalogerakos and Joshua Reddington years ago.

One of Dauber’s friends has testified that Dauber asked him to help dispose of Reddington’s body, but he said no. After saying no, he says he heard Dauber go into a cabin and could hear a saw and the sound of bones crushing.

The Idaho Statesman reports, Fishback’s daughter, says the FBI is investigating her father’s death now.
