Earlier this week, The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), asked law enforcement to investigate the possibility of racial motive behind the recent string of vandalism of Mazzah Mediterranean Grill in Boise.
A rock was thrown through their glass door, the establishment has had eggs thrown at them and had the word "murder" spelled out using donuts.
BPD says its they're not considering the actions "hate crimes" because no racial or ethnic slurs were used.
That's right, if someone had spelled out "jihad" using donuts it might be considered, but since they didn't, its not a "hate crime" it’s a "crime crime".
I do not support the thought behind "hate crimes". Maybe someone is targeting the owners based on racial issues, who cares. They're not being sought for their thoughts, they're wanted for their actions. Hate crimes serve to make a victim of a group much larger than the actual victims.
