Construction on the Peasley Street Connection is getting closer to completion as Boise Parks and Recreation reports they expect the project to finish by late October.
CBS2 reports the Peasley Street Connection is a 94-step staircase and bike tunnel that connects the Boise Bench to Ann Morrison Park.
The project, which was approved in April of this year by the Boise City Council, was budgeted to cost nearly $850,000.
According to Boise Parks and Rec, construction crews are currently pouring concrete and embedding metal letters.
A sign that completion is imminent as crews move into finishing work.
The project is expected to connect 1,774 households within a ten-minute walk to Ann Morrison Park.
