On May 16th voters will go to the polls to decide on a plant facilities levy – which will need 55% voter approval to pass.

The West Ada School District says it hopes the levy passes which they will use to help handle stresses of a growing treasure valley.

If passed, $50 million would annually be used to build two new elementary schools, a new career and technical education center, and address aging infrastructure.

Many areas would receive support with rapid growth causing issues for schools, especially in some of the outlying areas of the WASD.

WASD also says, it provides the district the opportunity to continually reevaluate and address facility needs as growth in the community is monitored.
