West Ada School District looks to fill staffing shortages

Like many businesses, the West Ada School District is experiencing staffing shortages.

Currently, there are 339 unfilled positions in the West Ada School District.

Char Jackson, chief communication officer for the West Ada School District, says it’s down 30-40 percent for custodial maintenance staff.

CBS 2 News reports, the Boise School District is also struggling with some staffing shortages with 36 positions needing to be filled.

The West Ada School District raised wages for custodial and maintenance staff to $12.45 an hour to help increase the number of interested applicants, but still needs more workers.
