Rep. Priscilla Giddings is finding herself at the center of a storm surrounding actions she took in identifying a 19 year old intern who reported that she was sexually assaulted by former Rep. Aaron von Ehlinger.
The ACLU of Idaho now says it’s collected a petition with almost 6,000 signatures to call for an investigation and the resignation of Giddings.
Ehlinger has already resigned following an ethics committee review.
CBS 2 News reports, more than 3,000 emails have been sent to Idaho House leadership.
This follows “a healing vigil” last night on the steps of the Idaho Capitol, held by the the Idaho Female Veterans Network who also is condemning Rep. Giddings actions.
