Locals look to clean up the Boise River on Saturday

Float season on the Boise River is coming….not for awhile, but it’s coming.

In the meantime, locals are getting together this Saturday the 24th to clean up the Boise River.

KIVI-TV reports, dozens of volunteers will meet at locations in Boise and Garden City to pick up supplies like trash bags and disposable gloves. From there, they will fan out to pick up trash in public parks, along the Greenbelt and at Fish and Game access sites.

You are welcome to volunteer, but you will be asked to wear a mask when checking in and when within six feet of other people throughout the clean-up. You can sign up thru the Idaho Rivers United website.
