The mountain community of McCall will continue its facemask mandate.
On Thursday, the McCall City Council voted to extend the mask requirement for another 45 days. It’s an enforceable order, with fines possible of $100.
Previously, the face-covering mandate would not apply to those with medical exemptions and folks did not need to provide any documentation. Now, anyone claiming a medical exemption will need to provide some documentation.
The order is no longer a prosecutable offense, the city says, unless the fine goes unpaid.
