3.5 quake shakes Stanley area

The rattles continue in central Idaho.

While earthquakes are not unusual, when we feel a big quake, we certainly pay attention.

The USGS on Monday reported a 3.5 magnitude earthquake near Stanley just after about 3 p.m.

The precise location of the quake occurred 7.8 miles east of town.

The area has become a hot spot of small quakes for almost a year after the historic 6.5 quake hit March 31. That one was felt across the region.
