Elmore County shifted to RED category Monday for school protocols during the pandemic.
Elmore County schools joined Ada County schools due to the rising number of cases over the past two weeks.
Under RED category, minimal use of school buildings and limited in-person instruction is advised unless otherwise recommended by Central District Health.
CBS 2 News reports, Elmore County holds the Glenns Ferry School District and the Mountain Home School District.
Boise County remains in the GREEN category, while Valley County stayed in YELLOW.
