MWC cancels game after New Mexico is unable to participate at Colorado State

Boise State is set to host it’s first football game of the season on Saturday night against Utah State. However, the Mountain West did not even get to it’s first scheduled games of the year before they have already had to call off a game.

Due to the prevalence of the COVID-19 virus and in accordance with New Mexico state guidelines, the University of New Mexico is unable to participate in the scheduled football game on Saturday, at Colorado State University.

The Mountain West is canceling the game and declaring it a no contest. There is no plan to reschedule the game.

There are concerns about future scheduled games against New Mexico the Mountain West already has scheduled. San Jose State is currently scheduled to play at New Mexico next week on Halloween night.
