Boise Police looking for help identifying man accused of sexual battery

Boise Police detectives are asking for help finding a man accused of sexual battery of a minor after an incident in August.

Police say a teenager was riding on the greenbelt in the area of Willow Lane on Aug. 20, around 8 p.m.

The teen says she was approached by a man who used his bike to make her crash, then groped and threatened her. BPD says the man took off when another bike rider was heard approaching them.

Officers released a composite sketch in hopes of finding the suspect. They describe the suspect as a man in his 20’s, tall and thin with short blond hair.

“At the time he was clean-shaven and was said to have a very prominent ‘Roman’ (hook) nose,” the BPD said in a release.

The man was riding a black mountain bike with large tires at the time of the incident, according to investigators. He may also have been seen riding in a grey 2006-2007 Nissan Murano.

Since the incident in August, detectives with the BPD’s Special Victims Unit have been investigating. BPD bike officers have also been patrolling the greenbelt looking for a suspect matching the description.
