Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) will offer drive-up flu vaccine clinics at three convenient locations in the Treasure Valley. Patients can schedule their appointments by visiting www.saintalphonsus.org and using the online scheduling tool.
“As we enter into flu season while we are in the midst of a pandemic, it’s imperative that people get their flu vaccines,” said Dr. Mark Nassir, President of Saint Alphonsus Medical Group. “The vaccine is an important part of preventing influenza and significantly improving immunity not just for individuals, but for our community as well.”
Dr. Nassir said that while the vaccine is not 100-percent guaranteed to prevent the flu, it can significantly reduce the severity of the illness and flu symptoms.
Starting on Tuesday, September 29, the SAMG clinic at 12th Ave. South in Nampa will launch drive-up flu clinics for adult and pediatric patients. On September 30, a pediatric flu clinic begins on the Saint Alphonsus Boise campus, at a location between the Mulvaney and Liberty Buildings (on Hartman Street). On October 1st, the SAMG Ten Mile Clinic at the intersection of Ten Mile Road and Cherry Lane (3250 W. Cherry Lane) will begin offering vaccinations for adult and pediatric patients.
