Man threatens occupants of a car with a handgun in Boise

On Friday around 11:30 p.m. Boise Police responded to a report of an armed subject on the 6600 block of W. Fairview Ave.

An initial investigation showed that the driver of the first vehicle honked at a second vehicle to move forward at a nearby business.

Evidence showed that the driver of the second vehicle moved forward and then exited the vehicle with a handgun and began yelling at the occupants of the first vehicle.

After receiving a description of the suspect and the suspect’s vehicle, Boise Police were able to identify the suspect as Robert Hower.

Detectives conducted additional investigation and on Tuesday with the assistance of the US Marshal’s Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force, Hower was located and taken into custody.

Officers booked Hower into the Ada County Jail on a charge of felony aggravated assault and a probation violation warrant.
