A former Boise mayoral candidate has been charged with felony eluding police.
According to Ada County Jail online records, Adriel Jose Martinez was booked into the jail on Thursday for misdemeanor driving under the influence and felony eluding police.
CBS2 reports he is no longer being held in the jail.
Martinez was one of several candidates vying for the Boise mayoral seat, along with former mayor Dave Bieter and eventual winner Lauren McLean.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 1.
