Boise School District reports error on absentee ballots for trustee election

The Boise School District is reporting an error on recently mailed absentee ballots for the upcoming 2020 trustee election happening on Sept. 1.

According to school officials, the return envelopes, included in the ballots, were printed incorrectly.

CBS2 reports the school district said it’s working to correct the issue and will re-issue roughly 28,000 absentee ballots. They ask all registered voters who receive the incorrect absentee ballot, for the Boise School District Trustee election, to destroy them.

The school board is made up of seven elected trustees. Two trustees will be elected this September, each will fulfill a six-year term.
