Idaho State Board of Education extends waiver on college entrance exam requirements

The Idaho State Board of Education extended the waiver on college entrance exam requirements for the 2021-2022 academic year.

All post-secondary institutions can now waive the exam requirement for students seeking admissions for next year. KIVI-TV reports, some institutions may still require the exam scores for financial aid evaluations.

The Board encourages future students to reach out to their institution to see if a specific exam is required.

In addition to waiving exam requirements, the Idaho State Board of Education approved lowering cumulative GPA requirements for the state’s Direct Admissions program from 3.0 to 2.8 for the 2021-2022 academic year.
