A local high school student lost his battle with Leukemia on Wednesday.
Friends, family and members of Colin Mathews baseball team at Rocky Mountain High School turned out on Thursday night to share memories of the student-athlete. A vigil was also held at Rocky Mountain High School to honor Mathews.
The family explains, Colin had been receiving treatment at St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital, where succumbed to the disease Wednesday afternoon. His fight against Leukemia was complicated by infections and fever.
