Middleton cancels parade but still plans to have 4th of July fireworks

Independence Day is just six weeks away and Treasure Valley communities are already planning how to celebrate without compromising people’s health.

As communities continue to recover from the first wave of the coronavirus, leaders are deciding how best to celebrate upcoming holidays.

With social distancing still a top priority, CBS 2 News reports, Middleton is canceling their 4th of July Parade but will be moving forward with their fireworks display.

The decision wasn’t easy, but Rule said the safety of his community has to come first.
