Gas prices jump in Idaho by 12 cents in last week

Gas prices continue an upswing in Idaho…with another 12 cent per gallon increase last week.

That increase was in addition to the 16 cents per gallon increase the week of May 11…the biggest in the nation for that period.

As more people gradually do get back to traveling for work, or even recreation, demand is pushing gas prices higher…and the trend is likely to continue this week, according to AAA Idaho.

Idaho currently has the 12th highest price in the country for regular fuel, paying an average of $2.14 per gallon…and while that is up 29 cents a gallon from a month ago, it’s still $1.06 cheaper than this time last year.

Meanwhile, the current U.S. average is $1.96 for a gallon of regular grade gas.
