Adams County shooting suspect hit deputy’s vehicle multiple times

A man suspected of shooting at two deputies in Adams County Sunday, is still on the run.

Two deputies were called to a property on Highway 55 near New Meadows Sunday, and after arriving, a man started shooting at the officers from a barn on the property.

CBS 2 News reports the suspect, identified as William James, hit one deputy’s car several times and almost hit one of the deputies.

James was able to flee the area, with his weapon…and he still has not been found.

James is accused of two counts of attempted murder, and police say if you see him, call 911.
