Everyone in Idaho has been ordered by Governor Brad Little to shelter in place, but that does not mean you can’t enjoy the great outdoors.
In fact – you are being encouraged to enjoy some outdoor recreation, like hiking or mountain biking and even camping in some places. Just remember the same social distancing guidelines apply when you are outside on the trail as they do when you are inside a business… stay 6 feet away from others.
There are a couple other things the State of Idaho would also like you to consider. While they encourage day trips, they would also like you to minimize your distance from home, keeping in mind that first responders and medical professionals are really busy right now, and may not be able to come to your aid right away.
It’s also a very good idea to check the conditions before you head out, and maybe check in with some of the local businesses if you usually relay on them – to make sure they are still operating before you leave home.
