Bogus Basin is making changes this weekend to help improve traffic and parking

After some real parking headaches and traffic issues on Bogus Basin Road last weekend, the ski resort is making some changes for this weekend and will continue to look for ways to make future improvements.

Bogus Basin general manager Brad Wilson says starting this weekend, flaggers will be stationed at the intersection of Bogus Basin Road and Curling Drive, to help improve traffic flow, and signs will be posted at that location, when and if parking lots approach capacity.

Priority parking will be available for vehicles with three or more people, on a first-come, first served basis. and additional parking attendants will be on hand to help maximize capacity and speed up parking.

CBS 2 News reports Bogus will also post parking updates on their website, on Facebook and Instagram.

Bogus Basin is strongly encouraging skiers and boarders to carpool or to take the shuttles that run up and down the mountain to help maximize parking space, and help ease some traffic.
