Not So Funny

Over the past 4 years, I've had the opportunity to introduce Bill Cosby on stage at the Morrison Center for his last two concerts here in Boise. Like many of you, I grew up watching him on TV, his sitcoms, his cartoons, his standup, and listening to his records.

I've had the opportunity to sit and talk with him in private. We've discussed issues ranging from the economy, to Temple football, to homeopathic medicine, to politics and more.

The reports of the past few weeks, the alligations and the response (or lack thereof) has disturbed me personally. As one who has called the "court of public opinion" to order many times, it bothers me to see people call Mr. Cosby "a rapist" based on accusations, not proof. It also bothers me to see a severe lack of self defense on Mr. Cosby's.

A listener said it best this week. "Most 'idols' have feet of clay."
