Join 670 KBOI and Make-A-Wish of Idaho for the 2009 Season of Wishes  Campaign.

December 2nd

 

Morgan - I wish to go to the Dominican Republic

Sixteen-year old Morgan has always been a self-directed young lady with ambitious goals. At the age of 13 she decided to do the YMCA duathalon and has since done three triathlons. Morgan taught herself to knit, weave and do soap-making as well! Shortly after her 15th birthday, Morgan was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Since that day, she has been in and out of the hospital with treatments. Some days are much harder than others but she draws hope from the knowledge that in a matter of months she and her family will be basking in the sun of the Dominican Republic. Not only were the beaches a draw to Morgan but she also looks forward to snorkeling, zip-lining and learning more about the Republic’s culture.

Sadie- I wish to meet Sean Johnson!

Nine-year old Sadie of Nampa has Olympic goals in mind for her future. Sadie is a country-loving, Toys R Us shopping, ice cream eating girl that loves doing gymnastics! She takes classes at the local Bronco Elite and gains inspiration from watching the local BSU gymnastics team and her favorite gymnast and Olympic Medalist, Shawn Johnson. Sadie is being treated for a Wilms Tumor but knows that meeting Shawn Johnson and learning how she got to be so good will help give her inspiration not only to pull through her treatments but to become an Olympic Medalist herself someday.

 

 

 

 

December 16th

 

Sarah – I wish to go on a Caribbean Cruise!

 At age twelve, Sarah was diagnosed with Leukemia. She has since been undergoing treatments and is anxiously awaiting her upcoming wish! When asked, Sarah decided she wanted to go on a Caribbean Cruise because she loves to swim and would enjoy snorkeling. She is also looking forward to experiencing the beautiful beaches and waters of the Caribbean. When Sarah is feeling well, she enjoys competing on her swim team, beading jewelry, watching musicals and rooting for the BSU Broncos. With each day that passes, Sarah knows she is getting one day closer to the fabulous vacation ahead of her.

Zach- I wish to go to Maui

Zach, a 12-year old living in Eagle, can often be found beating the next level on his Xbox 360, watching his favorite TV show Man vs. Wild or playing with his wonderful cat, Whiskers. Currently Zach is receiving treatments for Leukemia. As he continues through this often challenging process to recovery, Zach eagerly awaits November when he’ll be jumping on a plane to Maui! While there, Zach will visit the Aquarium, go snorkeling, go golfing at a first class course and attend a luau! Sounds like Zach and his family are in for a tropically good time!
